DD at 9 months, just won't go down easily. Life is very hectic and we are often out in the evenings and have been since birth but I am willing to change my life for a few months to sort out her sleeping.

She's going down any time between 7.30 (such as tonight) and 10pm, waking through the night, and wanting milk during the night too.

She has a dummy, TBH when she wakes, we used to just poke a dummy back in her mouth and she'd snuggle back to sleep, now she's waking screaming and wont settle.

HelpME!

IMO 9 months is a bit young for CC. Do you think she might just be going through a growth spurt and need feeding at night?

I think even before cc it sounds like a routine might make a big difference as you mentioned often being out then. Getting a good consistent wind-down routine at the same time and place every night first for a few weeks, then cc may be a useful next step. We used it for our little guy who refused to nap in his cot and he is a dream sleeper now.

The book the baby whisperer has loads of alternatives to CC which help teach ds as a baby how to self settle, its worked for us but agree with oremstango try and put in place a solid bedtime routine and ritual, we bath every night, milk, book then bed, always in bed by 7pm, he knows whats coming and what's 'expected' of him, without some good bed time 'triggers' cc could take longer which will be hard on you, we did cc at 12 weeks so don't think I'm against but I think it could take longer for an older baby, they have more stamina

Try the book its got some useful suggestions - I find it handy when I really don't knwo what to do next
