Dream feeds

Hi! This is my first time putting my own message... I’m looking forward to what all you new mums are doing in terms of dream feeding or not dream feeding?
I have a 10 week old big boy who is already on hungry baby milk ( advised by the hv)
He feeds pretty much 3 hrly through the day... he has a good bedtime routine... bathed and in bed between 7-7.30 ... he sleeps lovely until anywhere from 1 to 3.30 where he can start stirring at 1 were I put his dummy in which can send him back off for a hr, then I can do it again sometimes and hel go back off for 20 mins or so.. then feed and then he’s restless from half 5 ( regardless from when he woke for that middle of the night feed...
I’ve tried dream feeing him , he only takes 2 oz then again stirs at 1 ish then the dummy and is about 3 before he gets a feed... it’s difficult cause it’s different every night!
I’m not sure what to do for the best! What are you ladies with babies this age doing? Is this normal? My dd dream fed no problems so leaving them is new to me and also I hate getting up twice to feed in the night but then staying up to dream feed kills me to! Sorry I’m rambling now 😂
I’d love to hear from you guys x

A dream feed never worked for my dd now 4 months old. Although she didn’t wake up it was as though I was disturbing her deep sleep and she never got back into that deep sleep stage after the dream feed. She slept so much better when I stopped it.
If he’s going to bed at 730 sounds like he’s ready to get up for the day at half 5, that’s a decent sleep even if he does wake up.
Could you keep him up an extra hour and see what happens?

Yeah your right I could definitely try that... so he’s gunna need a extra nap later isn’t he.. I’m gunna stop the dream feed as 2 oz just seems a bit pointless really for the hassle! Thanks for your reply x

He probably will want a nap of your keeping him up later. Has he naturally put himself into this routine or is it something you’ve worked on?
We don’t really have a routine as such but my dd naturally wants to go to bed by about half 8 at the latest. She naps when she’s tired not at any sets times really. Sometimes she’ll nap from about 630pm for an hour or so and I’m ok with that because she needs it especially if she’s had a nighttime bath it wipes her out.
At 10 weeks it’s trail and error, any routine that’s established is likely to change anyway at this young age x

Sorry for the late reply I lost the page lol
Well I have a just 4 year old so I just got straight into the habit of bathing them and doing bedtime routine with the pair of them , plus his 5th bottle of the day lands around then so he just has always gone at that time.. I’ve just gave him a bottle st 6 so gunna try bath at 7.30 bottle at 8 then bed which would be his extra ( dream feed) bottle.. I’ll see how that goes... hoping it might push his night feed and wake up on a bit 😬xx
