Baby giggling - do I go in?

My baby has started giggling to himself when I pop him down in his cot. Sometimes he sleeps for 30 mins at night wakes up then starts giggling.

Would you go in and try and soothe him? Or wait?

I've kept going in but that just seems to excite him.

If he cried I'd go in. Just not sure on giggle!

Awwww. Why would you go in? I don't see what's wrong with just leaving him as he's happy.

How old is he? Unless he is tiny I'd leave him to it. He'll cry if he's upset or bored, this sounds very cute Smile

Definitely record it too, the phase will end and you will wish you had a memory.

No way! A baby who's happy to giggle and self soothe to sleep is the dream and you'll be grateful if this continues into toddlerhood and beyond! If baby is happy I would definitely not interfere.

Leave him

He's 5 months and not been in his cot long! I left him but then he started to cry! Had a cuddle and he went back off again. Fingers crossed I get some sleep 😊 and yes will record next time!
