Night weaning bf 11 month old - went cold turkey but still waking every 1-2 hrs

Just as the title says really!! LO was feeding multiple times a night (I don’t know how often exactly as we coslept and I would doze off); but I really want to wean off breast around 1 year so I had to make a start (and going cold turkey, sending dad in with water etc worked for me with my first). So we went almost cold turkey and still allowed one feed anytime after 3/4am. 5 nights in and the best stretch we’ve had is 2-3 hours (always at the start of the evening) and every hour or so thereafter. My main goal was to wean off night feeds as I know STTN is not always realistic for all babies, however I also wasn’t expecting hourly waking. Help please
