Any suggestions on how to get my 6 month old to nap in her cot during the day? She’s done it a few times but generally she’s been sleeping on me or DH or in her pram or on our bed with us.

Really want to get her napping better in the day more Independently. TIA

I hear you! My 6 month old is driving me nuts - I feel like I spend most of the day rocking him to sleep, then the second I put him in his cot he wakes up and screams. I wait 5 mins before going in then repeat rock, put down, scream. I think I might actually be losing my mind. He's definitely tired!! I can't keep walking every time he needs a nap.

Apparently the key is to help them self-soothe by not running to them straight away the second they cry (leave it 5 mins) and by not rocking or feeding or holding them to sleep. But I think it takes a hell of a lot of patience (something that I'm fast running out of).

Noise cancelling headphones and a good podcast helps stay calm!
