Removing Dummy - 4 month old

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had success stories on getting rid of the dummy so early?

We are having the problem with our 4 month old that we can’t swaddle him anymore as he is now rolling over but every time we put the dummy in he reaches up and pulls it straight back out but cries because he wants it. Has been going on for a while but the swaddling helped before.

Thanks

No, we just rode it out. At 10 months she usually sorts it herself now, she has a Sleeptot bunny which as helped but at 4months still far too young to be able to sort it. It's just a phase, they'll stop pulling it out soon themself.

What about one of the little attachments that clip on to grobag? My dd had one of those.

Both of mine did/do this. I would put their dummy in and then straight away give them a muslin to occupy their hands so they didn't pull the dummy out. Then I would creep in once they were asleep and take the muslin away.

As a result, my three year old still sleeps with a muslin (or 3!) even though he doesn't have the dummy anymore. (But as comforters go they're quite easy - we have hundreds, they're easy to wash and don't take up a lot of room!!)
