I thought I'd start a thread (for a bit of light hearted relief in a way) with example of your best day and your worst day with your little one...

I'll start...my DD 8 months.

Best day: Slept 8pm to 8am...plus a 2 hour mid morning nap as well...
What did I do? Felt like supermum! Did a grocery shop, filled a tax report, cooked an amazing dinner and had two, yes two...HOT cups of tea!

Worst day: Wouldn't go down till 9pm...woke at 12.30am and wouldn't go down for an hour!
Woke again at 5am. Again - not down for an hour!
Then did not nap all day except 30 mins at 3.30pm....was grumpy ALL day
What did I do? Ate an entire Easter egg and lukewarm tea...

Over to you all....Smile

Ha ha there all enjoying sleep. I’ll go

Best day: first time, when she was around 4 months and slept through the night. She didn’t do it again until she was 8 months old Grin

DD now 14 months old (it gets easier).

Worst; when we took her home as a newborn. I expected that she wouldn’t sleep but nothing prepared me for the hell. For the first 3 months she work up every hour - 2 hours to feed and she made these piglet noises and grunts when she slept which use to keep me a wake anyhow

Jennyfirsttimemum · 19/04/2019 12:07

Goodness! Well that's tops the worst day so far!

But the best day sounds like heaven...and it's got easier now!

I bet you look back on those earlier newborn days and think "how did I do it?"...but you did!!!

Let's hope more mums add best/worst day....

DD 4.5 months.

Best day: Slept 6.30pm-5.30am, had a small bottle and went down again 5.45am-6.45am.
What I did: Went out for lunch with friends (plus babies), steam cleaned all the floors, vacuumed the windows and attacked the bathroom with Zoflora.

Worst day: Down at 6.30pm, awake at 8.30pm, 11pm, 1am, 2am, 3am etc etc, not interested in a feed after 1am, just flipping singing for half an hour each time 😩😩😩
What I did: Bought a Jumperoo.

DS is 11 weeks tomorrow.

Worst day by far was the second day home from hospital. He cluster fed from 9pm until 5am and I cried. My nipples were unbelievably painful and I was utterly broken.

Best day was Monday. Slept from 7pm until 6am. I felt almost human.

Jennyfirsttimemum · 21/04/2019 12:37

Wow!!! That's a record cluster feed i reckon!!! Unless anyone can beat that one?

Some cracking good (Easter pun!) days though....

Isn't it fab when you get a decent nights sleep? 😆 Or even when they nap for 90 mins or more! You start to think you can start all those house projects you've been thinking about but too knackered to do anything about....and then they throw a bad night at you Grin
