I give up

My baby has never been a good sleeper. They're 21 weeks this week, which I think is 5 months? I'm at my wits end. They never go to sleep themselves and I feel like I've tired everything. Also the longest stretch of sleep they've had is for like 2 hours. They're up feeding every 2 hours atm... I'm breastfeeding. No supply issue and good weight gain. He screams and cries in the middle of the night. I just don't know what to do anymore and I'm so tired. 5 months of constant crap sleep is really taking its toll on me. My husband does help out, possibly more than the average man, but I just feel like we're getting nowhere and I see no light at the end of the tunnel. His napping is also terrible.

Bless you, you poor thing. My son also went through terrible sleep during that time. It started to get better at around 5.5 months. Admittedly, it went bad again at 9 months, I still got a bit of rest between 5.5 months and 9 months. So just hang on. He will start sleeping better all of a sudden. Try co-sleeping, it surely helped me.

The Huckleberry app is free to use to plot sleep times and it will then predict when you should put your baby down for their naps. It's helped me no end to improve naps which is meant to help night sleep. Might be worth a try
