5 month old hitting face in his sleep... too old for swaddle?

We used the Velcro swaddle bags until 4 months when baby was breaking out of them, and have been using a sleeping bag since, however, he keeps waking up about 25 minutes into naps because he’s rubbing and scratching his face.
Is it okay to keep swaddling at 5 months?
How does everyone else deal with nails? I clip them and try to file them too but they end up sharper than when I started 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s not safe to swaddle with arms in once they can roll. So you’re probably past it being ok to swaddle.

What about vests with buys to pull over hands - like built in scratch mits - would stop the scratching.
