Early wakings

My baby is 6 and half months old. He has always been an early waker (5:45/6) but the last week or so he's been waking up at 4:30am crying his eyes out.
Sometimes he just needs soothing back to sleep but then he's unsettled until 'normal' wake up.
Is there a sleep regression at this age or any ideas what it could be?
He doesn't have night feeds anymore and hasn't done for about 6wks

Have you heard of the Wonder Weeks? You can get an App for ease on your mobile.

Bub could be in a wonder week when they don't sleep well or wake early.

My Bub is now 8 months and I remember her waking at some awful hour at 4am and wanting to get up for the day at around 6 months. Breastfeeding to sleep usually bought me another hour or so!!

Luckily she's a better sleeper now.

Have you tried a feed at 4am?

Be assured these are all phases. It will get better... worth looking into wonder weeks - it was spot on for my Bub. I could stock up on the chocolate when I knew she was entering a difficult week(s).

@Jennyfirsttimemum yes I do have the wonder weeks app and you're right, I just checked and he's going through a 'grey area' so hopefully he'll be out of it next week 🤞🏼
