Hello, I am looking for a 'first' pillow for DD who is coming up to 21 mths.

Please could anyone give me some suggestions on which type of pillow is most suitable?

On Amazon there is one called NHS Blueline - does anyone have experience with this pillow?

Many thanks

why do you think he needs a pillow?

You can get toddler pillows in Mothercare

  • I was in an extravagant mood so splashed out on a wool one as wool is good for temperature regulation. Was a bit pricey though and ordinary ones are fine.

She is waking up almost every night and I go in after 10 mins give her a drink of water and then sleep with her on the floor. And most times she falls heavily asleep on my pillow.

I know that it could be a just wanting comfort from me, but I am trying to look at all possibilities.

Toddlers don't "need" pillows but my dd loves to snuggle into hers.

I don't think there's any real need for a pillow tbh.

dd didn't have one until she was over 4 and ds (now 3) won't sleep with one (unless he's in our bed)

I went to John Lewis when dd was 2 and was told "they should have one from 12mts"-balls I reckon but did get her one which she starts off on each evening...but ends up on the mattress.

Ah, I see - it's a comfort thing.

Well the pillow will never be a substitute for your (obviously!)

I think you need to address the waking/sleeping thing.

sorry YOU - not your.

Teacake - what's the story?

Mothercare ones seem to be the flattest

DD has been fine until we went to HKG when she 16mths old for a holiday. When we returned in March, she started to wake up at nights. However she goes to sleep every night at 8.00 will not hassle but will wake up around 5 hrs later.

DH has a very long commute, so I have only managed about 10 mins of control crying a night.

Not really sure why she is getting up. We have kinda of introduced the potty but only in the day time.

So thought I'd a process of elimination and try to see if a pillow will help her sleep more soundly.
