Hi, I am absolutely desperate. My 16 month old has never slept well and now I am finding it hard to manage. On a good night he's up 2 times on average but bad nights it's 5/6/7 times we are both exhausted.
Has anyone had any success with a sleep trainer/consultant? Could you recommend one? How does it work is it by phone?
Thanks in advance.

I'm in similar position with my 2 year old. He has horrendous night terrors. He was up every 45 mins last night, screaming the place down and banging his cot against the wall. He basically only sleeps more than 4 hours in a row when he's got a fever. My brain is falling to bits.

A friend recommended Millpond sleep clinic. I haven't been able to bring myself to try them because I have the feeling a 'sleep consultant' is just someone who has read the same 15 baby sleep books I have, none of which has made any difference at all.

If one more person starts hectoring me about the importance of routine or whatever as though I might have given this absolutely no thought at all in the last 2 years, I cannot be held responsible for my actions.

Sorry, that was not a helpful post at all! Blush apologies for the rant. You have my sympathies! If you find something that works please let me know!

Sleepsavytot (www.babysleepconsultants.com/what-to-expect/).
Couldn’t rate them highly enough, saved my sanity.

Baby Tech Support

Amazing - online, email and / or phone / WhatsApp support

Yes it's largely advice you already know - but Gemma writes it all out in a targeted plan and then holds you accountable for sticking with it and following through! Also can advise on those 'they're not doing what the book says they should, wtf do I do now' moments.

Just Chill Mama on Instagram does free YouTube videos but also provides a sleep consultant service. I've heard a lot of good reviews. Rebecca Adlington recently used her and she posted about how good she was with her daughter. She often does free Q&A too.

Thanks so much for the replies. I will do some research on each and maybe try one. It's good to know some have had positive experiences.
@BipBippadotta my sympathies to you too 😩😩😭 it's so tough isn't it!!?
I honestly don't know how to cope some days. I feel sorry for myself and think why me? Why my baby?
And 100% agree on the 'helpful advice' re routine 🙄🙄🙄
