4 month sleep regression, teeth, growth spurt, something else???

DD has been a champion sleeper since birth. A few difficult nights but mostly quite easy. EBF, was sleeping 7-3 and 3-6 until last week. Now 3.5 months (16 weeeks?) and up three-four times in night. Wakes up shrieking, I pick her up and she settles almost immediately, will nurse for a couple of min - basically asleep- and drop right off the breast. I can pop her back in her cot and she’s out for another...hour or so until she’s up again. She’s still doing a 4 hour stretch at the beginning f the night so I sleep at 8 pm too. I’m shattered Confused

She’s also doing a similar routine during the day, screams bloody murder when it’s time to go down for nap and generally won’t nap more than 30 min. OH was able to have her sleep almost 2 hours during day by sleeping on him, not a good habit I understand to get into.

I’m a heavy sleeper and OH takes medication that means cosleeping is not possible for us. Suggestions? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel or is this the new normal? I thought she may also be getting teeth? Don’t see anything on the gum but she’s always got a hand or fist in her mouth and has started picking things up and putting them in her mouth too. Anyone else gone through this?

Sounds like sleep regression definitely, it will get better but how soon is another question. My advice would have been to co sleep as that’s how I got through it, I know you say you’re a heavy sleeper but I think if you do it safely you should be ok, I think there’s instinct also that the baby is next to you. Have you tried white noise or a dummy?

Haven’t tried white noise or dummy. We do white noise for day naps, was trying to keep a different routine for day and night sleep?
