I am literally just so drained. My head hurts from how tired I am lately. DS is just over 6 months. We moved him into his room last week as we thought that him waking was maybe due to noises we were making in the bedroom for example the tv or us moving around in bed or DP or mine snoring slightly. The first night he only woke twice which was a massive improvement but now the gap between him sleeping and waking for milk is getting smaller and smaller. It's pretty much every 3 hours which I don't understand how as he used to go 7 hours sometimes without waking. By the time I feed him and put him back in his room to get him to sleep I'm wide awake and is a struggle to get back to sleep so I'm probably averaging an hour or two of sleep. I try to catch up during the day but there's things to do plus he will only sleep for 45 mins ish at a time during the day. Please tel me it will get better ? Or is there something I need to change ???

Hi - not sure I can be much help but from my own experience...when we moved our DD into own room and cot...we placed a teddy that had my scent on it for her to cuddle....checked she wasn't wriggling out of her blankets- eventually put her in a sleeping bag...left a low night on...white noise - which was basically a fan in the warmer weather ....all this made a big difference. I also had the baby monitor on next to my bed - even though the room is right next door - that way I could react quickly to her waking. I found that after just a few nights she was sleeping better than she was in her bassinet. She also had more room to play in the mornings! Which gave me an extra 40 mins in bed whilst she happily chatted to teddy...

Hopefully you'll find your way. Hang in there - you're already doing a great job.

Thank you for your reply.
Willing to try anything so will try putting a teddy in with him. He already has white noise in there

How did you go? Any success?

mumyshark · 10/04/2019 15:07

Hi @Jennyfirsttimemum
Nope:(. I've bought a purflo pillow which has helped a little! But he wakes around 11/12 and will not go back down without a feed. Sometimes he just stays awake until 1😅. And sometimes will go all the way to 5/6.
Maybe he's teething for a very long time haha!

Could you dream feed before you go to bed?

mumyshark · 11/04/2019 02:32

@WifOfBif have tried that :(
He still will wake after a couple hours.
Sometimes he does sometimes he doesn't.
Last night for example he woke 12. I fed him put him back and he slept till 630.
Tonight so far he has woke at 10, 12 and 2
