Worried I've let my baby sleep too long!

My 6 month old last night slept from 8pm-7am however this morning was still tired, he had breakfast and an hour of play and came back upstairs for a nap which is completely normal. However, he usually only sleeps 1-2hrs but today he slept 3.5 hours!! I'm worried this is too much and would other mummies wake up there babies or just leave them?

Thank you x

Unless he was listless when you try to rouse him I would leave him, probably just a growth spurt 😊

It's fine. Obviously if you think he might be ill, you might want to check on him but assuming he's well and alert when awake, leave him be. At this age their brains are developing rapidly and need lots of rest.

Never wake a sleeping baby! We learnt this the hard way!
They sleep more when they grow! They do go through phases!!! I remember being terrified there was something wring but that baby is now 5 and doing well!
