My 7 month old has stopped sleeping

My 7 month old little girl has never been great at napping but has known the difference from night and day since she was born! I always had to rock her to sleep she's never been great at self settling but I didn't mind I quite liked the extra cuddles! She started sleeping though at about 3-4 months and now all of a sudden she can be up 7 times per night she will not go back off at all and it's becoming a massive struggle she's not hungry and we have a white noise machine but nothing is working she still gets swaddled because if not she will purposely pull her dummy out to wake herself up which isn't helping the problem she goes to bed between 5-6 every night!
I truly am at my wits end I honestly feel like I'm failing as a mum! I really don't like the idea of controlled crying!
If anyone has tried a sleep expert or anything any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I could have written this! I don't have any helpful advice, but just to say you're not alone! And it will pass.... so I'm told..... 🤞🏻

OP hang in there. I was one of those on the non-sleeper threads for a very, very long time. In fact DD only started sleeping through at 18 months (sorry) and she's 19 months now.

I just wanted to say, I've been there, and I honestly feel your pain. It won't be forever.

My 7 month old is a terrible sleeper. I was up 6 times with him last night. He’s never been a good sleeper at night but always napped well during the day. Now he’s resisting naps and the only way I can get him to sleep is by pushing him in the pram so I’m walking for miles every day!! Apparently they go through a sleep regression at 7 months which can last several weeks so I’m hoping he comes good again soon. Your LO might too. Sorry I’ve no advice but I do have sympathy as I’m in the same boat.

Thank you for all the support! I've been so worried that it was something I was doing! We started a really strict bedtime routine 2 nights ago the first night she didn't sleep well but last night she only got up twice, given the second time I did put her in bed with me 🙈 but even still we finally got some sleep 😃x

@hopefulforthefuture I'm going through this with my DS who's nearly 7 months... waking several times a night and hard to get back to sleep - when I put him back in his cot he wakes back up! It's ridiculous! I tried giving him banana before bed (someone told me this has sleepy hormones in which is good to give before bed, and il try anything 😆) it worked well for a couple of nights and he went for about 6 hours, but that only happened for 2 nights 🙈
Hoping for some sleep for all of us soon 👍
