Baby waking crying every couple of hours

Just wondering if this is normal and when it might end Confused

My 6 months DS goes to sleep fine but every hour in the night he wakes up either fussing or actively crying. I’m 99% sure he’s asleep doing this but if I don’t intervene and shush pat him back to sleep he’s then fully awake crying.

What can I do?

Might be teething related. Unfortunately mine did this for a while too. These phases will pass but they are bloody exhausting. Have you considered co-sleeping?

When it’s really bad we’ve been co sleeping but it doesn’t make a big difference. He’s also in a next to me crib so I’m basically next to him anyway

My 19 month old still does it.

My DD started this at 4 months and has only really stopped now at 7 months. She can move herself about now so gets herself into her preferred position and I don’t usually hear from her till she wants fed at 5. It was tough going up till then.
