My just turned 6 week old DD2 was a dream sleeper for the first few weeks - slept for at least a 4 hour stretch at night and seemed to ‘get’ the difference between night and day.
Then DD1 passed on her cold and DD2 developed oral thrush, which we’re still trying to get rid of. Now I have a snotty baby who’s throwing up milk after every feed (not violently and doesn’t seem bothered by it) and doesn’t seem to go into that nice deep sleep at 11pm after a lengthy cluster feed that she used to. Instead we’re up for feeding (breast) every 2 hours!
As an example, we were on a 2 hour schedule all last night until she went on the school run with DD1 at 8am this morning, when she slept for 3.5 hours. Just fed her for half an hour and she’s conked out again.
I don’t know what I’m asking really - I feel like she’s sleeping too much in the day which is affecting our nights. Is that a thing?! Is there any way of getting her back to that blissful 4 hour at a stretch routine..?
