Toddler sleeping by door in bedroom
Our 2.5 year old has randomly started to refuse to sleep in her bed and insisting on sleeping between the bedroom door and a gate that we had put up over her door.
She had slept in the bed fine for the last two months and slept in her cot before we managed to get her to sleep in her 'big' bed. We take her to bed with a story and settle her to bed but as soon as we go to leave she follows us out and even when leaving the gate open she asks for us to close it!
We have 5 month old boy and this could be contributing to the behaviour but besides giving her a blanket and offering her bed each night there isn't much else we can think of doing!
Does anyone have any advice to convince her to go back to her bed?
