Co sleeping and breathing monitors

Hi there

I'm having my first in May and looking for some advice on using a breathing monitor. I plan to have the wee one sleeping in with me for the first six months or so, in one of the cribs that attaches to your bed (like a Snuzpod, Chicco next to me etc). I'm a bit nervous as a first timer so I'm looking at breathing monitors too. Are they necessary when you have your baby sleeping so close? Are they worth it for the reassurance? Any thoughts most welcome SmileSmile xx
