Sleep advice please for 6 month old

Just before Christmas my 6 month DD would sleep like a dream, just after Christmas she got a cold so sleep went to pot, the cold is still lingering just won’t budge but overall she isn’t suffering too much. Her sleep is now awful she wakes often throughout the night, her dummy is always popping out (whereas before this didn’t bother her) when she wakes I give a little cuddle, but nine times out of ten she wakes when I put her down again so I then sit with her with my hand on her to try & get her back off again - which can take ages!

Can someone give me advice or suggestions please. Co-sleep isn’t an option as my eldest DD is in with us & has been since she was a baby as her sleep is truly shocking! I obviously don’t want DD2 following her sister’s steps with her sleep.

Thanks

No real advice I’m afraid but I’m in a similar position with my 6 month old, down to not being able to co-sleep in case he gets squashed by an older sibling.

Does your DD have feeds in the night? I’m finding at the moment DS seems to have increased how much milk he’s having. I’m not sure if it’s hunger or if the cold he’s got is making him thirsty, but he settles a bit better after a feed.

Woutdoor she put dummy back in herself if she could find it?

Only the past couple of weeks she’s been having a feed at night she stopped having one a while back but all of a sudden she is needing that night time feed again.
She isn’t quite there with putting her dummy in yet, i doubt she would even find it to be honest. Hopefully next few months she will learn this though. Just hard isn’t it?
