My baby slept in her cot with few issues from newborn, aside from no sleeping in the first few weeks of course! She got her first cold at 7 months and I kept her in our bed, then she had a small tumble and again I kept her in our bed for the night. I then thought she was going through sleep regression as she started to wake so many times in the night and would only sleep back in our bed then wake up when transfered back. Now I realise she outsmarted me and was just trying to get back in the bed!
She is now sleeping in our bed every night and for naps. I try putting her back and she is awake and angry in less than a minute.
Anyone found a way out of this? I feel so foolish!!! She sleeps through the night in our bed, so it really is a full night's sleep or nothing at all!

Oh and I should add we are in a hot country so sleeping is on a sheet with no covers and a fan on!

You just have to do it. And go through the hassle of teaching her that the cot is her option. It’s never fun but has to be done. Alternative is you let her in your bed for an undetermined amount of time. Months or years.
