Any experience with night terrors?

Hi all. My DD is 3.5. she has always been a pretty good sleeper, however I'd say for the past 6 months she has been prone to shouting in her sleep. It hasn't seemed to cause any distress up until very recently when her sleep has become seriously disturbed. She now shouts on and off all night, but also thrashes around, full-on screams and shouts things like "No!" And "I don't like it!" Which is really distressing to hear. She now wakes 2-3 times a night (assuming she wakes herself up) and shouts for us so we go in but she isn't really with it and usually continues to thrash about and then falls back to sleep with us patting her. She never remembers any of this the next day, however she has been having terrible tantrums which have escalated along with the night problems so I'm wondering if that's related.

We are being woken by her about every 15 minutes and it has us completely on edge. We also have a terrible sleeping 15 month old who she shares a room with and he now ends up in our bed when the shouting starts which is usually about 11pm/ midnight. Between the two of them were shattered!

Does this sound like night terrors? Is there anything we can do to help her? Last night was particularly bad, she was inconsolable at 4am so DH got up with her and she's been asleep on the sofa under her duvet for the last hour Sad
