How much milk during the night for a 5mo?

My 4.5 mo ds sleep is pretty dreadful, waking every 1.5/2 hours during the night. Usually I end up bf him back to sleep as that’s the only way he’ll settle.

I want to stop bf soon and switch to formula. But I’m worried about how I’ll settle him during the night, and unsure how much milk he would need? As I’m assuming I wouldn’t offer a bottle every wake during the night?

Any advice welcome!

Hi,

My little one is 6.5 months for the last couple of weeks we haven't given him a bottle at night. At 5 months we were probably on 1 feed around 5am (until his sleep went crazy and now wakes every hour). I just cuddle him back to sleep, does your little one have a dummy?

Oh and he was on 6 or 7 oz bottles, try making one and see how much he takes mine stops when he's had enough x

Thanks lancslass

He won’t take a dummy anymore Angry he did for a while, but now just angrily rips it out of his mouth.

Ok, so one or maybe 2 feeds in the night would be ok?

My DD is 5 months and takes one bottle in the night, around 2AM (having had eaten last at 7 or 7:30PM). She can happily drink 180/200 ml.
