My 7 month old baby hardly sleeps! Day and Night !

My 7 month old baby boy he will be 8 months next week hardly sleeps at night or during the day the longest time he sleeps for is an 1 hour and a half, he is breastfed only, I have tried giving him formula just so he will sleep but he still constantly was waking up so I continue to give him breast, he sleeps in the bed with me so when he wakes up I just lay to the side and give him my breast and we both go back to sleep Ive tried letting him sleep in his cot but he wakes up even more then.

Hes a happy healthy baby a good weight he's very clingy and always wants breastfeeding I give him solids but he doesn't seem to really be ready or interested in eating it (even though he has 2 teeth now) So mostly just breast but i try to give him a least bowl of solids a day.

He is my second child my 1st child I breastfed for about 2 months and formula aswell, then I gave up and just gave him formula I never had a problem with his sleep I think he probably slept through the night at 5 months.

I have tried sleep training letting him cry it out but that doesn't work for us he's very alert, it's too stressfull for my partner and my older son, he's a very light sleeper any little noise he wakes up we have to creep around the house at night when he does sleep. He wakes up every single hour or hour and a half. I have tried the white noise in my opinion it didn't make a difference

When he wakes up in the night and I'm up I have to quickly rush lay and give him my breast for him to go back to sleep then creep away until I'm ready to go to bed myself. This is every hour or hour and a half he wakes. Sometimes I can tap him back to sleep most times he's looking for the breast with his eyes closed and if I don't give it to him he opens his eyes and cries for it.

My partner has also tried tapping him back to sleep sometimes he goes back to sleep but he will wake up the next hour and we have to do it again this is every single night !

This is so draining I don't mind if my baby wakes up every 3 hours but 1 hour and 1 hour and a half is just not long enough it's so exhausting I wish I knew when he will sleep more or what I can do?

I was even thinking on trying SMA hungry baby at night time because he's not eating much solids he's feeding every hour at night and he doesn't sleep when I did try formula before it was SMA from birth. please any suggestions thanks
