How to stop night nursing 18 month old:(

Not really sure if this is posted in the right category. Basically I've recently stopped breastfeeding my 18 month old girl. She's dropped every day time feed and falls asleep for the night with no feed at all. And so I assumed my milk had dried up. But she has always woken in the middle of the night and screams and scrabbles at my top to nurse. I thought for a while that it was doing no harm as she was just dry nursing for comfort but I heard her guzzling, managing to get milk out last night so Maybe my milk supply has come back through her dry nursing?? Anyway. I'd like to stop completely as I'm sure that she'd sleep a whole lot better if she wasn't waking for unnecessary feeds. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop nursing in the night without having someone else console her? Thanks
(She falls asleep with me in evening and then I can put her into her own room until she wakes at about midnight to come into our bed. She falls asleep in our bed without nursing. She wakes to nurse between 2 and 6am. I'm thinking if I can kick all feeds then she will sleep through the night in her own bed)
