My ds is 22 months and for a few weeks now has refused his nap. If he does go to sleep in the day nights become disrupted.

Should I just give up nap time now or is this a regression and he likely still needs sleep

If he won't nap at all, even in the car or pram I'd just do some quiet activity after lunch like a snuggle on the sofa with an audio book.

Will he nap if you both go in your bed?

No anytime he's been in my bed it's been party time and he gets excited and messies about. I'm a big restricted with that though since I have a smaller baby

I'd put him in his room for "quiet time" for an hour every day after lunch. Keep the baby monitor on so you can keep an eye on him. He might play quietly in his bed or maybe he will fall asleep :)

He does sometimes fall asleep, other times cries uncontrollable until I go back for him.
The days he does nap he will either take hours to go to sleep at night or wakes lots overnight
