My little boy is 6 weeks old tomorrow he's just started fighting his sleep! Sometimes he's fine getting to sleep but other times we have to rock him and bounce around with him

When he does finally drift off and it comes to putting him down he wakes up pretty much straight away

Anyone got any advice please!!!

Is he swaddled? Helped a lot with me little one!

Swaddling might be worth a try indeed.

Hang in there OP. I personally found the first six weeks of a baby easy, and then the following 4 months much tougher from a sleep perspective Wink

Does he have a dummy? I’ve found my 8 week old can get himself off to sleep in a few minutes by sucking on his dummy.

Mine have all slept better when swaddled.

Mummy2be2 · 22/01/2019 20:53

I've tried swaddling he liked it first few weeks but not so much anymore he likes stretching out

As for the dummy he's got one but I think because I'm breast feeding he's not quite figured out how to keep it in his mouth properly yet

We've bought so much stuff to try and help nothing seems to work really

Persevere with the dummy. Ds is ebf and didn’t take to it at first, and still sometimes spits it out, but now it’s like an instant go-to-sleep button (provided he is tired enough in the first place)
