Sleepyhead deluxe

Hi

We are expecting our first baby in August, and just getting our head around what we need to buy.

Has anybody bought a sleepyhead deluxe and if so what are your thoughts? Are they worth the money?

They vary so much in price, which one did you get??

Thanks

My daughters both hated it, slept happier in their cot with swaddles.

It’s quite an expensive upfront purchase for something that you may not need.

My best recommendation for any new parent is an amazon prime subscription.

Lots of shows to binge watch whilst feeding the baby and next day delivery of virtually anything you might need.

So when baby arrives, if they’re not sleeping well and you want to try the sleepyhead you can have it delivered the next day (or same day if you’re in the right area)

You need to decide on the risk / benefits. We had a purflo nest - which I really liked and now have a bigger sized sleepyhead. We found they helped with settling and Co sleeping but I would wait until your baby is here - they might not be necessary / you might feel safer etc without.

I’d wait until your baby gets here before spending money on anything he/she may not like or need.

Also be aware that nests and sleep pods are considered a SIDS risk. Lots of people use them, but Lullaby Trust does not recommend their use www.lullabytrust.org.uk/the-lullaby-trust-issues-warning-about-some-popular-baby-sleeping-products-sold-in-high-street-stores/

We loved ours. Daughter is still in it now at 7 months, for us it was totally worth the money

@5lnaBed will definitely be considering amazon prime! Sounds like a life saver!

@RicStar @Lipsticktraces thanks both will definitely look into the risks as we obviously want our bean to be as safe as possible!

I'm not sure what size it is. It's a sleepyhead deluxe and it says on it suitable from birth to approximately 8 months
