Too young to sleep through?

DD is 8 weeks, EBF on demand. Has started sleeping through the night, 11-6 or 11-7. Has also droppe overnight poos. Plenty of wet and soiled nappies during day. Should I wake her for evening feed? Been so nervous I get up at 4-5 and watch her anyway Confused She seems happy though I do notice I’m a bit engorged in the morning.

If there's no other health concerns, let them sleep!

I should add that shell sometimes grizzle for a minute or two (passing wind, or for whatever reason babies do!) and then quickly fall back to sleep on her own (no more than 2-3 minutes) or with just a gentle bit of cot rocking-not sure if I should wake her up at those times?

Might sound daft but I’m actually missing our nighttime cuddles Blush Had a v difficult pregnancy and she’ll probably be my only LO.

Both of mine were ff bit slept through from the day we came home from the hospital. I used to wake them up at first because it didn't seem right!

They're now 7 and 15 and have since paid me back with some horrendous sleeping patterns over the last few years :)

I honestly wouldn't worry.

Reccy2018 · 17/01/2019 05:23

It won't last forever probably until around 4 or 5 months when their sleep pattern changes. Then you'll be wishing she slept through again I imagine! Just enjoy it while you can. Your body needs rest after giving birth only 8 weeks ago

Thank you for the responses. Reckon I’m just feeling a bit emotional, can’t believe she’s two months already. Will enjoy the rest whilst I can Smile

Don’t worry and try to enjoy the sleep whilst you can, my LO slept all night, every night from 2wks until 4 months, then the 4 month sleep regression hit and she was awake every 2 hours. 9 months now and still not sleeping through like she used to! x

Just enjoy it. DD2 slept through from 5 weeks but at 7 months is now up again at least once. Hopefully your luck will continue but it may not!

ALittleCrisp · 19/01/2019 10:21

My DS slept through from birth. 8 hour stretch, every night.

No sleep regression. Nothing. He done 12/14 hours from 8 weeks!

Let that baby sleep!

My 3rd baby did this. I was surprised at first but also relieved and enjoyed the sleep while it lasted. I did feed a lot during the day and cluster fed until bed time. All of mine have had different sleep / eating patterns. Only 1 followed the 3 hour day and night feed at this age.
