My 7mo has pretty much always only napped in the sling. Occasionally in the buggy but not for more than around 20 mins. I want to try and get her to nap in the cot so I can get things done and in preparation for other people looking after her when I return to work in a couple of months. So far the only way I have been able to get her to nap in the cot is cuddle her to sleep and put her in then sit next to her and stroke her back to sleep when ever she rouses. I tried leaving the room after 20 mins of sleep and she woke immediately and it took a while to get her back off again, so it's not helping me get any more time! I'm not up for CIO techniques and at the moment I can only really try the cot with her morning nap as I have older DC to look after during her other nap times. Does anyone have any experience or advice on making this transition? Thanks
