Napping Nightmare

Losing the will here with DD2. She is 3mo and an excellent baby generally. Sleeps really we’ll at night and EBF. Over the last week or so napping has gone to pot. I’ve always had her nap on me, very rarely will she nap in her swing. We are at the point now where she will only nap when moving- in the car (which I don’t have most days and the speed must be consistent) or in a sling. The thing is she need some 2-3 hours of napping. I CANNOT do this every day in the swing. It’s too much for me physically- my feet and back are getting knackered not to mention weather or generally tiredness. I can’t stop walking or she wakes up. Even doing this one nap a day, which is fine means I’m doing 9,000 steps at a minimum.

I keep trying to get her to nap on me while sitting again; I rock her or sway. She just screams blue murder the whole time. She’s already been screaming for 30 minutes because I’m sat down. I have white noise on, I’ve darkened the room. She’s fed and clean. She’s wrapped in a blanket. She won’t usually take a dummy. She doesn’t generally feed to sleep during the day.

Basically I am at my wits end. I don’t want to reinforce the walking to sleep crutch, primarily because I just cannot do it! What can I do? She needs something to help her nap but I can’t give her what she wants!! Like I said swings don’t work, I’ve tried 2 different ones!! Is this just a funny early 4 month sleep regression??

Has she always been like this?

Nope! Until a week or so ago she’d fall asleep pretty easily in the day!
