HELP! No napping happening!

Hello, so basically I just need any advice you may have! I have a 7 month old boy and he WILL NOT nap unless it's in the pram (continually walking) or in a baby wrap/carrier (again walking). When he does nap it's maximum 1.5 hours in the pram but normally 30-40 minutes 3/4 times a day- we have to take him out roughly every 2 hours or he gets overtired and can't sleep at night. Recently we've tried getting him to nap at home in his cot but with no success. He co sleeps with me at night as I am breastfeeding and it's easier all round. Normally at night he isn't that bad and will go down without a fight (not always but most night) and then he wakes throughout the night to eat and goes back to sleep without a fuss. However I have tried to get him to nap with me in bed in the day (I thought he would prefer me there) and he just screams and screams and refuses to nurse or sleep. We end up skipping the nap because everything I do he just carries on crying. I desperately need to find a way to nap him in the house as I can't keep walking round and round every time I need him to sleep. I have tried the Ferber method and he will just cry and cry and never settles. I'm at a loss as what to do as I feel like I've tried everything.
