How to get 5 year old to sleep in his own bed all night

Hi
I'm a single parent for 3 years and know it's my own fault but my 5 year old boy won't sleep through the night in his own bed. I've always allowed him to sleep in my bed and when he goes in his bed he's ok going to sleep but always wakes up the same time every night at 10:30-11pm and asks to come into my bed. I try to be strong and take him to the toilet then back to his bed but he gets so upset I give in and allow him to come in with me. He goes straight back to sleep and I settle more with him in my bed also. It's a bad situation I get it but please don't judge! I just need a bit of advice. I've tried sleep charts where he gets a tick for going to sleep in his bed and 2 ticks for sleeping all the way through but when he wakes up he says he doesn't care! Help!
