My 15MO Ds has never slept through the night. We have always given a bath, read books, then put in his cot. I can't put him in his cot as the moment I go into his nursery with him in the evenings he cries and cries and cries, so DH puts him down awake, leaves the roomX and he falls to sleep quickly with no tears.

He goes to sleep between 7.30-8.30, and wakes up religiously at 10.30, we can't get him back to sleep in his cot he gets really very upset. He's then put in our bed where he falls asleep after a feed and will wake once or twice more for feeds during the night.

What am I doing wrong?

You're doing nothing wrong, your son is quite normal. All babies are different. It does surprise me that at 15months he needs to be fed in the night, I would say that is unusual. A drink (water) is usually sufficient.

I'm glad you let him sleep with you though, he feels cosy being with mum and dad.
