DD 8 months has been sleeping in a travel cot (bought a decent mattress) for the passed 2 months as she outgrew her next to me crib, my mum had bought the travel cot for her before she was born (her dad lives abroad so I take her to see him).
So I have kept money aside from the past 2 months to buy her a cot bed, a good one that's gonna last a while but not too expensive as I am staying with my mum and will be moving out within the next few months.
I am in a small room at the moment with DD and I have come across these 'space saving/mini" cot beds which are about 120-130cm long instead of the full size which is 140cm +. The mini/space savings ones will fit in my current room, leaving space for some of DD's toys. The full size one will have to go against a different wall, leaving not much space at all. Also the smaller one is cheaper.
For some reason i just can't decide what to do, are the smaller ones just as good? Or is it not a good idea to buy smaller and just get the full sized one so DD has more room? The smaller ones turn into toddler beds aswell so I was thinking they will be just as good?
Also does anyone have any recommendations on a cot bed? I find one i like and read reviews and they are always mixed so it puts me off....
