Hi

My 6 month old is about to move into his own room / big cot, he is very active and wriggly during the night. Please can you recommend any baby movement monitors?

Thanks

I use an angel care monitor with sound and a movement mat (they also make it with video). It works really well and if you place the mat centrally it still picks up their movement even if they wiggle a bit. DD is 4 months and I intend to keep using it. They can be quite pricy but there are loads going second hand in excellent condition online.

We had the Angelcare for DD1, there were several false alarms and I would not recommend.

For DD2 we bought the Motorola video and breathing monitor. It was pricy (c. £200) but worth it. We still use the video monitor on its own now.
