Hi. My nearly 8 week old is exclusively bottle fed now and I was wondering when others dropped their night feeds? The last couple of nights he has gone to bed around 7pm then wakes at 1 and then again at 4 and then gets to around 6/7am. I know that this is quite typical and actually quite good going but just wondered when they drop the two night feeds and anything I can do to be helping that process along! Thanks

My bottle fed 11 week old currently goes down around 7.30 after bath (every other day) massage and bottle (starting between 6.45-7 depending on how tired she is) then I dream feed between 10 and 11 and she usually wakes between 3.30-5 for a feed and then goes back down till 7 or 8am when she wakes for the day. She’s been on this since 6 weeks and is a brilliant sleeper and happily self settles in her Moses in our room x

I fed in the night until 12 months. Two of mine dropped the night feeds sooner but that was them doing it not me.

My seven month old was on 3 feeds a night until 5 months and was 6 months old before she went to one feed a night. Now at 7 months she sometimes gets thru the night with one feed. She is a great sleeper though, she just wakes for food.

It’s good for the tiny babies to wake for food at night so try and rest in the day.
