DC is 7 months. We have 2 other DCs who fell into a routine and were mostly ok sleepers. 7 month old is far from a good sleeper.
She only sleeps next to me but it’s affecting me not having a moment to myself beyond 7pm. If she stirs in the night I shove my boob her way and she feeds a bit then sleeps.
I’m not looking to go to fill on CIO but the current situation is untenabke. Two main problems are she won’t sleep in her cot at all (I can hold her for up to an hour so she’s in a very deep sleep but she still wakes up instantly and cries loudly straight away. I’ve tried shush patting but only thing that settles her is picking her up and feeding her. Then rinse and repeat. Putting her in her cot when sleepy but awake has the same outcome.
Second problem is she will only be settled by boob. I’m mostly ok with this but am at the stage where I want to be able to have an hour to myself.
I realise 7 months is still tiny and have been thrown by this because of my two reasonably ok skeepers. Please help oh wise ones!
