6 month old waking for hours overnight

Please help me understand if/where I am going wrong as my DD is waking for long periods in the middle of the night/ waking extremely early and I don't know what to do.

This is a fairly recent problem.

Example

Friday night into Saturday

3.15am wakes up, and will not go back to sleep until 5.30am
Then naps:
5.30aam-7.30am
9am -11am
2pm -5pm

Then goes to sleep again at 7.45pm

So Saturday night into Sunday looks like this:

7.45-1.30 fitful sleep with frequent very short wake ups, goes back to sleep quickly with either cuddling or milk
1.30 am wakes up and will not go back to sleep until 4.30am
Then naps:
4.30am-6.45am
9.15am- 10.45am
2pm - 4pm

Goes to sleep then at 6.30pm, again has had 2 short wake ups already . It's 10.15pm where I am (not U.K.) so am dreading an early morning 2-3 hour awake period

Why is she waking up for these long periods or waking up so early e.g 3.15? I assume her body has had enough sleep by then so I need to cut sleep elsewhere? But how much? I just let her sleep when she needs it in the day.
Do I count that first nap as a nap or just a continuation of her overnight sleep? Do I start waking her up from the later naps so she sleeps for a shorter periods in the day?

I keep it boring etc when she wakes up overnight.

She is bottle fed.

Any advice? I don't mind her waking up many times a night to cuddle etc but I can't cope with the long awake period!!

Thanks!

Sounds normal to me :-/
Babies struggle to naturally transition between sleep cycles so wake up more from what i understand.
My LO is almost 1 and woke up at half 4 for 2 hours and then went back to sleep.. Just in time for me to have to wake her up so we could take her to daycare...

I noticed when DS hit 6 months (now 7.5 months) I needed to limit the last nap of the day to 1 sleep cycle so 40ish mins. So he wakes between 6.30-7am then naps 8.30-9.30, 11.30-1.30 and last nap is at 3.30-4.10, bedtime is 7.
He doesn't always sleep 2 hours in the middle of the day but the last nap I keep short. I move bedtime forward if he gets really grumpy/tired.
We also make sure that he doesn't sleep past 7am to keep wake ups consistent.

Thanks both. Last night she slept 6.30pm to 5am with only lots of short wake ups so that was nice. Probably a fluke but shall see what tonight brings ....
