my dd is 7 mth old, and has always been a excellent sleeper... i recently put her in her own room and gradually her sleeping has become almost none exsistent!!! i.e last night i thought i would try feeding her at 8 instead of 7pm and she only actually went up at 9pm but woke up 6 times because she had spat her dummy then woke up at 1am not wanting to go to sleep!!! i tried even bringing her into my bed didnt work and needless to say i am exhausted!!!! she is in a gro bag and i dont think its hunger as previous night she woke at 3am and i offered her a bottle she had like 3oz and did go back off only to awake again at 5am.... any advice is appreciated as i am at the end of my tether!!! she has just had a tooth come through could it be this? should i try giving her calpol before bed? could it be that she is hungry?she is on 3 meals a day and 4 x 7oz bottles... could it be she is now in her own room? or too hot/cold? i am even seriously considering bringing her cot back into my room again i really dont know what the hell to do....please give me lots of suggestions as i am running out of ideas. xx

cold/hot and ar you keeping it darka nd quiet when she wakes?

aloha · 01/09/2004 11:48

Could be teeth. The Calpol's worth a try. In fact, if you aren't getting enough sleep, anything's worth a try. Is she cold in her grobag now the nights are chillier? Have you tried putting socks on her? Poor you.

oh andd deffo own room could you be ( ahem) snoring?

lilsmum · 01/09/2004 12:06

lol dont think its snoring as she has slept in my room for 6 mth and never had this until she went in own room, i put her in gro bag and she has socks and has a blanket just over her legs as gro bag is a summer one.... i give up lol maybe it is just down to teeth last night i think i had such a bad night because i dont really like giving her bottles incase it forms a habit prob if i had just give in and give her one she would have gone back off... i have tried giving water but she not really a water drinker so that didnt work either she has a night light on the monitor so its not pitch black in the room.
