Co sleeper cot

We have a moses basket but our 7 week old LO does not seem to settle, he thrashes about and murmers all night.

A few nights he has totally refused to settle and been wide awake. We have ended up popping him in bed with me and he falls asleep almost instantly and doesn't stir, he even goes longer between bottles by a few hours.

We are considering getting a cosleeping cot until he is ready for his own room, but I am worried about making it harder when we want him to be able to sleep more independently. Does anyone have any advice or experience? We are looking at the BabyLo Cozi sleeper.

Is it just that some babies prefer to feel near you, or is he being to dependant on us?

TIA xx

We always had a next to me crib from the moment my baby came home and it's caused no issues at all.
All I did at around 4 months was put the side up and put it on the other side of our room, then a couple weeks later she went into her own room as she was getting too big for it- she likes to stretch right out - and we were waking her up when we came to bed, and was fine from the moment she went in there.

We have always used an Ollie the owl though (similar to my hummy with cry sensor) and I believe that's had one of the biggest impacts as it's gone with her into her own room and she completely relates it to sleep!
