8 month old with no routine

My 8 month old has completely fallen out of any routine. He visited my family for two weeks and being away, seeing family members and going out a lot totally messed with his routine. Since we’ve been back he’s also had a sore throat which upset his sleeping and eating. I never know when he’ll wake up, how much he’ll be up in the night or when he’ll nap. He was doing really well at baby led weaning but now I can never find the right time for a meal for him. He was always a good sleeper and pretty predictable till now 🙇🏼‍♀️ How do I get him into a routine?

Fixed points. Start with your bedtime routine (count back from when you want him in bed). Get that one in. Then breakfast, lunch and tea as the next fixed points at times that work for you/him.

It'll probably take a few days but I find mike 'resets' back into routine after a few days after being away

If you want your routine back I think you need to take charge. Start with bedtime. Pick at time (age appropriate would be 6:30-7pm) then do bath, feed, bed at that time. If he wakes in the night he wakes in the night. Then say he wakes at 7am.

Feeding - Give him a feed/breakfast at that time. Then do 4/5 hours from there. At 8 months my little girl was having bottle at 7am breakfast at 8am, lunch at 12 bottle at 2 then dinner at 4

Sleeping at that age they still need 2/3 naps depending on how good they nap . So follow the nap gaps so at 8 months to about 12 months it’s 2.5-3 hours MAXIMUM time awake!
