This is not a bragging thread, I know I'm extremely lucky with sleep (and it has nothing to do with anything I've done!)
DS has slept through the night since about 8 weeks old but doesn't nap much during the day (3 half hour naps with persuasion as he fights day time sleep).
He doesn't go for his night time sleep until between 9 - 10 pm, will happily nap for half an hour at 7 ish then is wide awake and ready to play! He'll sleep through till half 7 then have a bottle and go back to sleep, this morning until 11am (this is very unusual it's usually 10).
What time does everyone else's baby wake? I'll admit that for me the later wakings are fine because I'm a late sleeper late riser too and I'm enjoying the lie ins
but I know eventually he'll need to get up much earlier when I start work again. I'm not a fan of strict routines and tried for one day to encourage set naps which included us both in tears and I thought why bother?
I'm not due to start work for another 7 months, that's enough time right? Surely if after Xmas I start waking him (and me
) earlier then the night sleep will gradually get earlier?
