Hi! Just wanted to give you a word of encouragement. I don’t know how little sleep you’re getting and what your routine is, but I’ve been in the deep end for a while now but I’m befinning to see some light at the end of the tunnel. My girl is 10 months this week and we’ve slowly (no crying it out) during the last month managed to go from cosleeping and literally eating all night to moving her to her own room and doing some solid stretches each night. She still nurses before bed at 7.30 pm but she’s awake when I put her in bed and I stroke her to sleep. Recently she often doesn’t even need physical touch as long as I hover nearby. She’ll do a 2-4 hour sleep after bedtime. Then we do struggle between 11 pm to 3 am with her waking up every 1-2 hours and absolutely wanting to nurse so I usually give in for everyone’s sanity but she then sleeps again from about 3 to 7 am.

Just from my experience I would say what was helped was to not leave her to cry because she would get so upset. It helped to stroke her and whisper gently to reassure her I’m still there. Then she falls asleep “on her own”. I think her learning to get up and stand really set us back but I feel she’s now more settled and going in the right direction.

Sending you lots of good vibes. It does get better.
