DS is 10 weeks.

He will only reliably nap in the day in his sling. He can sleep for three hrs easily and will sometimes have three big naps in a day.

But he isn’t settling at night. He wants to feed less than an hr into sleep. Last night he then screamed. I gave up and we coslept. I spend my life putting his dummy back in.

He has a bit of a cold which won’t be helping.

The other day he wouldn’t nap but did 6 hrs straight at night (I then couldn’t get him back to sleep after about 3am.

I am exhausted. And a mess.

Any advice? If I wake him from his naps how long should I give him?

Have you tried swaddling? Might be a bit late to try this but if he likes the feeling of being snuggled in the sling maybe swaddling would recreate this at night?

I personally never woke up my baby, I just let her sleep when she wanted to sleep and found she naturally settled into a pattern. Babies aren’t like us in the sense that if they sleep too much in the day they won’t sleep at night, they sleep worse at night if they are overtired in the day.
