Hi,

I'm moving DS on from combination of sleep in carrycot and sleeping in my bed into cot in the nursery. Anyone have any recommendations on the best type of mattress - and any to avoid? I imagine that for something like this the more expensive the better, but I want to know what I should be looking for - springs, foam, ....
Much appreciated.

Hiya! I got mine from Mothercare. sprung & with a zip off top so when they puke (Cute at 3a.m. huh?)you can machine wash and tumble dry it. Ours lasted for both the DC and was still good enough to pass on to my brother & his wife. Hope that helps?!?

We have the mothercare sprung mattress with the zip off top too and it's fab. He is so comfy in there that he has a right old strop if required to sleep in a travel cot with hard base. I reckon go for the most expensive you can afford and he'll love being in bed.
