Too sleepy to burp

It's a nightmare getting (5 month old) DD to sleep but then when we have night feeds she is so drowsy I can't get a burp out of her. I just know it's going to result in frequent wakings in the wee hours, squirming out of discomfort. Argh!
Anyone else with this problem? What to do? Is there any special magic techniques out there without making her wake fully?

My DD who is 5.5 months is just the same!! For her last feed and any night feeds I give her infacol before - sometimes it helps sometimes not! But how can you burp a baby that is totally sparked out!?! To be honest, the past couple of nights have been better so I hope she grows out of it. However we have a cold starting tonight so will have that to contend with!! Hope things get better soon xx

I used to hold the baby in the tiger in the tree pose to rub her back when she was sleepy

@ILoveDolly can you get trapped wind out when she's sleeping in that position? I might just give that a try.

Same problem tonight- giving final feed I burped her mid feed ok but then after that... 🤷‍♀️

@HelenMummyof2 good luck with the cold. DD here also has a stuffy nose this evening. Unless there's just something in the air tonight 🙏🤞
