When and for how long does your 1 year old nap please? Having issues with mine, he's always been a short napper!

I look after a 16 month old; she naps for about one and a half to two hours straight after lunch. We started to "discourage" her morning nap a few weeks ago as she wasn't sleeping that well at either nap, so she just has the afternoon one now.

My son is 17mths and has a 2-3 hour nap every morning. Over the last few weeks he's had the odd afternoon one too as he's been looking so tired. It's all a bit weird lately!

Thanks for the replies ladies. Mine has just turned one, he is still having two naps, one in the morning and one afternoon, but they vary in time from about 35 mins to an hour, not usually any longer. Not sure when he'll drop one. I also still have to resettle him in the middle to get him to sleep longer

Mine had 2 naps - one for around 45 mins and second for 1.5-2hours until she was 14 months. Then transitioned to 1 nap for 2.5-3 hours which has gradually dropped to 2 hours now she has just turned 2.
