my now nearly 8 month old can now roll over and has decided that he won't be sleeping on his back any more, i keep turning him onto his back again but 5 minutes later he's back asleep on his front. Is it a big deal? Do I turn him over continually or just leave him to sleep?

at his age your DS is fine to fall asleep on his front. If he is strong enough to roll over then he is ok to sleep in whatever position he feels most comfortable

Leave him to sleep how he wants. The evidence is that once a baby can roll over, and chooses to sleep on its front, it's fine. All you'll do is keep waking him up.
